Not sure what the story is here. All I’ve got is the concept of a world.

The economy is in the trash, like literal fire. No one can afford to live and no one can afford to pay anyone a living wage. So no one works. A lot of people live off of the government because for some reason that still ticks along like normal. Sure, it doesn’t give a lot of money, but it’s something. Enough to buy a can of beans. Everyone complains about how no one is hiring and how AI is taking over. There isn’t a solution ever posed, just complaints.

When you peek behind the curtain you discover that not even the government has full staff. They can’t afford it. The only ones with jobs are the ones who are public figures, those on TV; everyone else has been replaced by AI. So the government’s made up of like 3 people and that’s about it.

Obviously the people find out about this and riot.
